Lori Popkin Vice President-Claims

Lori Popkin began her career in 1989 as an adjuster trainee with State Farm Insurance Company. Throughout her career with State Farm, Lori handled first and third party property and casualty claims, commercial losses, boat and SIU claims. Lori worked Catastrophe claims in both Florida and Texas and was a liaison between the Catastrophe office and State Farm agents at the onset of Hurricane Andrew.

Lori’s management experience began in 1999 when she was hired as the Claims Supervisor for ERS of Florida, the claims company for American Superior Insurance.

Lori quickly moved into the Claims Manager position and managed the entire claims operation of ERS of Florida. This included supervising large losses, litigation cases, coverage development, file audits, developing Claim Procedural Manuals/Catastrophe Guidelines and implementation of vendor cost control programs.

As Vice President of Claims for Lozano Insurance Adjusters, Inc., Lori assists in obtaining and maintaining client contracts. Lori is also responsible for the daily operations and manages a staff of over 30 employees. She is involved in all aspects of the claims and personally reviews complex files for all our clients. Lori is the liaison with our clients and assists with maintaining our current relationships.

Lori volunteers her time with claims organizations and currently holds the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors for FACAP, the Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention. Lori holds the Fraud Claims Law Specialist designation and frequently attends continuing education courses to be current on the issues of our industry. Lori has taught continuing education classes for the Fort Lauderdale Claims Association and FACAP.
